SAFETY TRAINING SCHEDULE
On-line Safety Training
In cooperation with Xanthos Systems, we are pleased to offer our members a monthly series of on-line safety courses. You can take a course any time from your computer, and receive recognition for your work. You will only need your name and e-mail address to register for the Safety Training Program. Once you register the first time, you will be assigned a password and can then take classes at your convenience. If you cannot complete a class in one session, you can pick up again where you left off whenever you have time available.

Instructor-Led Training —
We also offer a wide variety of instructor-led safety and first aid classes for our members. This page includes a list of the many classes that we offer. Our First Aid, CPR, and Driver Training classes are offered at the YCPARMIA office; we have specific dates for these classes listed below. Other classes are scheduled as needed and are generally provided at your site.
There must be at least 6 people registered for a class to be held. If fewer than 5 are in attendance the day of the class, the training will be cancelled and participants asked to reschedule. To sign up, please email Marinda Hall at:

Standard First Aid —
Details: The Red Cross Standard First Aid class includes adult CPR with AED and First Aid and runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It covers Adult CPR, AED, Choking, Wounds, Sudden Illnesses, and Injuries to Muscles, Bones and Joints. Participants receive a CPR/AED card, which is valid for 1 year, and a First Aid card, which is valid for 3 years. This class will meet the Cal-OSHA requirement that you have trained first aid providers available at each worksite (8 CCR § 3203). The class is held at YCPARMIA.

Adult CPR / Automated External Defibrillators —
Details: The Red Cross Adult CPR class is offered for those employees who only need Adult CPR/AED certification. This is a half-day class that includes CPR, Rescue Breathing, AEDs, and Choking for adults. (If you also need First Aid, please sign up for the above First Aid/CPR combo class.) The following classes are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at YCPARMIA.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer —
This is an 8-hour class designed for those who have a duty to provide care. It includes CPR skills for adults, children and infants, AED, and Bag Valve Mask Training. This class is appropriate for emergency responders (Police and Fire) or for Lifeguards, Healthcare Providers, and Childcare providers.
CPR for the Professional Rescuer will be provided on request. Contact Jim Richter to schedule class(es) to meet your needs.
Child & Infant CPR —
The Child & Infant CPR course will be provided on request. Contact Vicki Faciutto to schedule class(es) to meet your needs.
Driving Safety —
This is a 3 hour student-participation course designed to raise awareness of driving hazards and common mistakes drivers make. It can be extended to cover passenger vans, on request. Scheduled classes begin at 8:00 a.m. at YCPARMIA. Classes will be provided on request.
— Our Trainers —
Jim Richter —
Jim is a Red Cross authorized instructor for First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillators (AED), CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Title 22 First Aid. He has been POST approved as an instructor for law enforcement training classes.
Jim has been trained as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-I) and has completed numerous first aid and emergency medicine classes, including Wilderness First Aid and Multi-Casualty Disaster Management. He has been teaching Red Cross classes at YCPARMIA since 1996.
Jim is also trained and qualified to teach Fork Lift Safety, Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, HazMat First Responders, and a variety of other safety classes. Contact him at (530) 666-4456 to request the specific training that you need.
Victoria Facciuto —
Vicki is a Red Cross authorized instructor for First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillators (AED). She is also a certified CPR instructor for the American Heart Association. Vicki is a Registered Nurse and has worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. She has been teaching Red Cross courses at YCPARMIA since 1997.
